Adaptive lighting – a flagship project for the municipality of Heiningen

In a joint project, Studio DL is starting a unique research project on the topics of adaptive lighting on federal roads and insect monitoring with well-known partners.
With the help of the latest sensors, control technology and camera systems, new dimming concepts are tested and the effects of light pollution on insects and the environment are measured at the same time.
The findings of this pioneering project help the street lighting in the country
(especially the street lighting of thoroughfares) to be more environmentally friendly and energy efficient.
The Ministry of Transportation is supporting the project with 75,000 euros from funds of a special program to strengthen biological diversity.
