Poznań | Masterplan

Poznań is a city of 49 districts, each with its own character, yet united by a shared identity. The lighting masterplan we developed reveals this layered structure, enhancing both the historic and the contemporary city. 

We defined six core principles: zoning, composition, panoramas, urban marketing, smart solutions, and participation. The plan distinguishes zones by colour temperature and lighting character – from warm and historic in the city centre to more neutral and uniform in the newer districts. Iconic panoramas along the Warta River are emphasised, while smart technology and control systems ensure energy efficiency, safety, and adaptability. 

Equally important was the voice of residents: through participation and collaboration with local creators, light becomes a tool not only to illuminate the city, but to connect it more deeply to its people.
